The Pattonville Board of Education approved plans for the summer enrichment and academic review programs, which will begin in June 2009. About 2,000 students are expected to attend the summer programs.

The academic review and enrichment programs for students in preschool through eighth grade will take place June 11 through July 1. Enrichment will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Drummond Elementary. Academic review classes for preschool through third grade will be from 9:35 a.m. to 2:35 p.m. at Remington Traditional School, and for fourth through eighth grades, from 8:50 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. at Holman Middle School. Information on the enrichment program will be sent to students’ homes on March 25, with registration beginning March 26.
The high school program will run June 8 through July 2 at Pattonville High School. Session I will be from 7:45 to 10:55 a.m., and Session II will be from 11:20 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. New this summer, the district will add a Special School District staff member to assist students with disabilities and provide better communication among staff members. In addition, state-required end-of-course exams in Algebra I, Biology and English II will be administered on the last day of the regular summer session. The final schedule may be adjusted if the district has to use six or more inclement weather days during the regular school year.
