Amanda Shull, the daughter of Sherry Hinton Shull (Class of 1974), won the top spot after being voted one of three finalists the previous Friday. Other finalists were John Walsh, Pattonville Class of 1974, and Brittany Ellis, Pattonville Class of 2005.
For the first time, the competition included a group division, during which one brave, costumed combo (six women and one man) sang songs like “Shout” and got the crowd involved. The group, who called themselves Happy Healthy Hearts, was composed of members of a walking group from Arlington Methodist Church. They included Mable Unser, Wanda Barbatti, Jean Wulfers, Harold Hahn, Bonnie Berardino, Alex Pifer and Doris Bante.
The popular event is sponsored by the Pattonville Alumni Association to raise funds for its scholarship program for Pattonville seniors. For more information, contact Paula Schneider, Pattonville Alumni Association president, at (314) 291-5996.
