| Remington tied for most appearances on state's "Highest Performing" lists |

A K-8 school in the Pattonville School District has been named to Missouri’s lists of “highest performing” schools 10 times based on scores on the 2008 Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) tests. Remington Traditional School is tied with one other school in Missouri for the highest number of times appearing on this year’s lists.

Remington made the lists in 10 out of 14 possible categories. This is the 11th year Remington has appeared on the state’s Top 10 lists of highest performing schools. Other Pattonville schools that have made the list in the past include Parkwood Elementary and Rose Acres Elementary.
“We are so proud of our students and the parents, teachers and staff who support them in their learning,” said Dr. Michael Fulton, superintendent. “This recognition only goes to confirm that our students and our schools are among the best in Missouri.”
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education released the lists, which are organized according to grade level, subject tested and size of school population. The lists include the Top 10 schools in different categories based on the percent of students who scored at the advanced or proficient levels on the spring 2008 MAP tests. Remington made the Top 10 lists in the following categories for elementary and middle schools with between 250 and 500 students:
Remington is a school of choice in the Pattonville School District, serving students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Any student living in Pattonville is eligible to attend this school. Student applicants are selected based on an official school lottery.
The Pattonville School District is one of only 12 school districts out of more than 500 statewide that achieved “Top 10” list status 10 or more times in this year’s report.
