Activities take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day. The event is part of National National TV Turn-off Week, which is designed to enable families to focus on activities that are more rewarding academically, socially and physically. Research indicates that students who watch very little or no TV tend to have higher grades and are more physically fit than students who spend hours in front of the television set.

The annual event has grown to be very popular at Drummond. Each night's activities center around a different theme. This year's themes are:
  • Monday, April 27 - ESPN2 Night - featuring sports-related games and activities;
  • Tuesday, April 28 - Animal Planet Night - featuring a dog show for large, medium and small dogs;
  • Wednesday, April 29 - Drummond Idol - featuring performances by Drummond students and staff members;
  • Thursday, April 30 - Travel and History Channel Night - featuring the fifth-grade Living Museum (students performing as historical figures in an interactive, museum-like setting); and
  • Friday, May 1 - Drummond PTO Family Fun Night - featuring hamburgers and hot dogs grilled by Principal Jason Van Beers, Assistant Principal Bo Ricker and special guests as well as other activities such as Bingo, a cake walk, cup stacking and more.
