Pattonville hosts docudrama to emphasize healthy choices

Pattonville High School recently encouraged students to have a fun, but safe prom night by hosting a docudrama for juniors and seniors. Operation Prom Safe was sponsored by the Pattonville Fire District along with several other agencies in the Pattonville area. The docudrama provided a dramatic reminder for students of the dangers of drugs and alcohol and driving under the influence.  Student actors were dressed in prom attire then made up to reenact traumatic injuries. They were placed in wrecked vehicles prior to the beginning of the program.  The audience watched rescue crews as they extracted the victims and handled a mock student fatality. The program ended with short speeches by school and fire officials about the dangers of drinking and driving. To see a gallery of photos from the event, click here.
