| Pattonville earns state's bus fleet safety award |

Pattonville's transportation department will receive a Total Fleet Excellence Award from the Missouri State Highway Patrol for excelling on its 2009 school bus inspection program.

The district's fleet of 65 buses was inspected with a 98.45 percent passing during the first round of inspections. After minor repairs were made the same day, 100 percent (all) buses passed the inspection. The following individuals are responsible for maintaining Pattonville's bus fleet: Steve Gerke, director of transportation, Doug Glass, mechanic supervisor, and mechanics Mike Greifzu, Stephan O'Brien and Joe Wishnask. According to the Highway Patrol, the average pass rate on first inspection statewide was 89.9 percent. Pattonville will receive its award during the Missouri Association of Pupil Transportation Conference in July.
