Pattonville gearing up for Veterans' Day

Pattonville schools are marking Veterans’ Day on Nov. 11 with a variety of events and activities. Two schools are hosting community events.

Pattonville High School will host a veterans’ breakfast and ceremonies from 8 to 9:30 a.m. in the high school cafeteria, 2497 Creve Coeur Mill Road in Maryland Heights. Veterans in the community are invited to attend, but should RSVP by calling Debbie Roth at (314) 213-8551. A flag-folding ceremony and missing man ceremony will follow the breakfast.

Drummond Elementary School will host a Veterans' Day Celebration at 6:30 p.m., Nov. 19 in the Drummond cafeteria, 3721 St. Bridget Lane in St. Ann. Fifth-graders will pay tribute to veterans through a musical performance. The event will include a video celebration of current and former military soldiers. Veterans from area VFW halls and military offices are invited, along with veterans from students’ families. Everyone is invited to stay for “Freedom Punch” and “Rations” after the performance.
