Each student was assigned an explorer in history to research. Once the research phase was completed, students showcased their expertise in a Living Museum for an audience of third- and fourth-grade students, parents and staff members. During the museum, fifth-graders dressed as their explorer and came to life when a visitor to the museum pressed a nearby red button. During their presentation, they also shared an Inspiration web they created, timeline, sponsor letter, and PowerPoint presentation. They even read from a coffee-stained script that made the letter look authentic, according to Fifth-Grade Teacher Tammy Anderson.
